I Am Numéro 9: Citroën’s DS Concept in Detail with Over 120 High-Res Photos

Over the past few weeks, we managed to gather bits and pieces about Citroën’s newest DS concept study and now, we not only have more than 120 high-resolution photos to share with you, but we also have all the details in advance of its world premiere at the Beijing Motor Show on April 24.

Previously believed to be named the DS9, the French study is called the Numéro 9 concept, though Citroën makes it clear that it belongs to the DS lineup.

Citroën says that the Numéro 9 introduces the more chic and premium DS lineup to Chinese consumers before the company launches its first DS products onto the market later this year.

More importantly though, Citroën states that the Numéro 9 refines the brand's design language and signals the styling cues of the next three DS line models including a C-segment premium sedan (think Audi A3 Sedan), an SUV and a D-segment (mid-size) executive saloon.

As you can see, Citroën is all hyped up about its DS line, which currently consists of the DS3 supermini, DS4 compact hatch and the larger DS5, and all for good reason as it has notched up more than 200,000 sales worldwide just two years after launch.

2013 Mercedes-Benz G-Class gets New Twin-Turbo V8 and V12 AMG Variants with up to 603HP!

After discovering the 2013 G-Class lurking behind the updated GLK in one of the official shots and learning that Mercedes will debut the revised version of its longest running model series at the Beijing motor show at the end of April, we knew it was only a matter of time before the Germans made it official.

You will be hard pressed to find any exterior differences but there's more than meets the eye with the 2013 G-Class, as Mercedes revamped the interior while adding two new AMG performance versions to the range.

Mercedes found no reason to alter the exterior appearance of the G-Class, which has been in production for 33 years since 1979, so the only changes are the new LED daytime running lamps and exterior mirrors for all engine variants. The AMG models also get a bespoke radiator grille with double louvres, new bumpers with large air intakes and 20-inch wheels.

A test mule of the next generation of Infiniti's highest volume line, the G series, was nabbed by our spy photographers taking a rest at a parking lot in Northern Europe.

While these pictures don't tell us much about the new G sedan other than that it will have wider front and rear tracks, the fact that our photographers told us that the prototype was seen going in and out of a known Mercedes test facility, proves that the cooperation between Daimler and the Renault-Nissan Alliance is in full swing.

Even though most will find it hard to believe, both carmakers said that the decision had nothing to do with the recent tie up between PSA Peugeot Citroën and GM.

Mercedes-Benz Debuts All-New 2013 GL-Class, Says it's the S-Class of SUVs

Mercedes-Benz has officially taken the wraps off its all-new 2013 GL-Class at the New York International Auto Show. The German brand's new seven seater model is being described by Mercedes as the S-Class of SUVs.

“The new GL-Class occupies the top position amongst luxury SUVs," says Joachim Schmidt, vice president of the Mercedes brand. "With its comprehensive assistance systems it has a pioneering role where safety and comfort are concerned, and is on a par with an S-Class – even off the beaten track."

At 201.6 inches (5,120mm) long, 84.3 inches (2,141mm) wide and 72.8 inches (1,849mm) tall, the latest generation of the GL is slightly longer, wider and taller than the model it replaces, but it rides on the same wheelbase (121 inches or 3,073mm). Despite the increase in exterior dimensions, Mercedes says the GL is lighter than its predecessor.

The exterior styling is an evolution of the previous model and combines a similar front end design to the new ML with a boxy rear-end. Notably, a small kink makes its appearance on the side window while the new GL also sports much larger and more pronounced tail lamps.

The Alltrack is based on the facelifted version of the European market Passat Estate, and not the North American model built at VW's manufacturing facility in Chattanooga.
