Harley-Davidson India has added another bike to its repertoire, the Fat Boy Special.
It is powered by a counter-balanced Twin Cam 96B V-Twin powertrain, rigid-mounted in the frame. The engine features Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) and the six-speed Cruise Drive transmission features a new helical-cut fifth gear for smoother performance.
The Fat Boy Special will be introduced at a price of Rs 19,70,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). Harley-Davidson will commence bookings for the Fat Boy Special in August 2011 at its dealerships in India. This model will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and will be available across all Harley-Davidson dealerships, in addition to the 14 models that are currently available.
In addition to its existing partnership with ICICI Bank, Harley-Davidson India has now partnered with HDFC Bank to offer a range of services including consumer financing, dealer financing and banking.
